KILO1600BDX Rangefinder: 6x22mm

The KILO1600BDX Rangefinder offers astounding performance, simplicity and value.

Modes of Operation

  • Line-Of-Sight (LOS)
  • Angle Modified Range (AMR)
  • Applied Ballistics Ultralight (ABU) — for use with the Ballistics Data Xchange (BDX) system

In ABU mode the shooter’s ballistic profile and environmental parameters calculate precise windage and elevation solutions in either MOA or MILS.

This information is displayed in the rangefinder and communicated via Bluetooth to your BDX scope to provide the exact illuminated holdover aiming point.

Features

  • BDX Ballistic Data Xchange capable, providing your BDX riflescope with an automatically illuminated holdover dot through Bluetooth pairing.
  • 6×22 mm monocular with SpectraCoat anti-reflection coatings for superior light transmission and optical clarity.
  • Revolutionary Lightwave DSP Technology for the fastest and longest distance rangefinder engine.
  • HyperScan provides 4 range updates per second in scan mode while RangeLock reports the last range result when ranging distant targets.
  • Embedded Applied Ballistics Ultralite with bullet database and support for G1/ G7 drag curves.
  • Features line of sight or angle modified range. Units in yards or meters to tenth Y/M resolution.
  • Transparent Red OLED display for daytime and low light use.
  • Lumatic TM Display automatically calibrates display brightness to changing ambient light conditions.

Set up was easy on my ravin r26 it is spot on so far I have shot it at 89 yards and it is accurate from 20 on out. I take my grandkids hunting and this system makes it super simple all they have to do is shoot the dot and not multiple lines on the traditional scope. My 6 year old granddaughter aced her first crossbow shot at 20 yards. Great scope and range finder combo. Works like it should and don’t regret my purchase. Also has very clear optics with added level built in the scope.

My combo kit kept losing connection between the rangefinder and the scope. I am writing this review in case someone else has this problem. I had loaded the bdx app on my phone, so I could do custom profiles with my crossbow. I kept trying different things to see if it was operator error. After about a week, the app on my phone must have checked in with Sig Sauer. It indicated that there was a firmware update available for the range finder. After completing the firmware update to the range finder, the combo kit works flawlessly. Before that, I had to keep syncing the phone app with the scope and the range finder. Unless I need another profile or to change a setting in the scope or range finder, I no longer have to involve the phone app, in the field. The profile is stored on the range finder and changes the aim points in the scope. The only minus I have found, is that sometimes the aim point in the scope doesn’t change when range finding, with the crossbow stirrup on the ground (too far apart?). I sometimes have to hold the crossbow while using the range finder. Double check that your aim point has changed, before you try to take a shot. The scope aim point in this scope can be used in bright sunlight. I never found a standard crossbow scope, that was bright enough to use in 3d shooting, in sunny conditions. If your thinking you don’t need it in sunny conditions,, don’t try to shoot a black 3d target or a fully shadowed target at the edge of the woods, with the sun in your face. I really like having one aim point to use after range finding. Todays’ crossbow scopes have such fine aim points and are stacked on top of each other. You spend half your time trying to make sure you are aiming with the correct aim point. If you choose to have more aim points with this scope, you can use the phone app and turn on multiple aim points of your choosing. In this case you use it like a regular crossbow scope, but customize which aim points are light up.

Measure Arrow Length - Carbon to Carbon

Why Equalizing the Weight of Non-Lighted Arrows is Important

When choosing Firenock lighted nocks you have an option use the weight match nock system.

There is roughly a 23 grain difference when adding Firenock lighted nocks. It can result in lower impacted points at distances of 30 yards and beyond, and also change your front of center percentages.

There is a simulated weight that attaches to your nock just the same as the lighted nock that will make all of the nocks weigh the same. This will ensure your arrows all fly the same.
