Putting to Bed the Ravin Crossbow Problem

Whenever a new kid shows up on the block it’s human nature to make sure they know their place. Ravin is the new kid on the block and they have been unjustly attacked on a few issues that we’re addressing in this post. First Ravin nock recall and second dealing with Ravin customer support.

Loren Borkholder and the staff at Borkholder Archery recommends the Ravin Crossbow product line to many hunters.

The Ravin Nock Recall

This was a voluntary recall by Ravin. It was something they would not have had to do but chose to do. The problem with the nock was when archers didn’t use enough force to engage the crossbow string. The issue was addressed by reducing the nock travel in the “new orange nock” design.

If you decide you do want Ravin’s new replacement nocks, Borkholder Archery will send replacement nocks absolutely free (including free shipping). Call the shop at (574) 773-0306.

To be clear, there is nothing wrong with using the “old white nocks” as long as the archer is diligent in properly engaging the string.

Dealing with Ravin Warranty Issues

In Loren’s experience and with talking with customers, Ravin’s customer support is easy to get hold of and accommodating. They take care of their customers.
